Worship as Lifestyle

Worship is not just singing, but is a lifestyle expression of our love and devotion to God. We should express our worship to Him in all we do, i.e. work, rest and play. Worship is a sacrifice and we are called to be living sacrifices as we read in the Bible in the Book of Romans chapter 12 verse 1.

Worship on Sunday

The worship is real and raw at the Eccles as we try to express this though music and song. There is usually a time of worship led by some of the worship team in which songs are sung, and space is given for everyone to express their love to God in their own words, in song, or meditation. We encourage people to seek God, and words, pictures; scripture and prophecy are shared where appropriate usually at the discretion of whoever is leading the meeting

We are constantly looking to be creative in our worship, as we do not want to get stuck in a rut. We don’t just want good meetings but God meetings, as a good meeting never changes anything.

Worship and Prayer

Prayer is very important at the Eccles; on Sundays, in our cell groups and other small group gatherings. Worship and Prayer are closely linked.

The Worship TeamTim Rose

Tim Rose leads the Eccles worship team. A number of the team lead worship on Sundays, and are supported by a great bunch of musicians and singers. The team meets a few times a year to pray and practice together, where those wishing to get involved in the team can join us. Worshippers, who want to join the team, are expected to be committed to the Eccles for at least 6 months before being involved in serving in the worship team as we want to make sure people are known for who they are and not what they do.
