"Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell.

All I can say is that every Follower of Jesus should read this Book. Amazing, inspiring and so helpful in understanding what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus today.

"Humble Pie" by Gordon Ramsay

This was such a good read and also enlightening into the whole world of the restaurant business. You can’t help but like Ramsay after reading this book. Amusing and sad all at the same time.

"Cut to the Chase" by Lee Jackson, Baz Gascoyne and Friends

Fantastic. I would have said this even if I was not involved with the writing. Real, relevant and raw. Just what the doctor ordered and what God is looking for. We need more of this for Men and Women inside and outside the Church today.

4.5 out of 5 (Only because it seems arrogant to give yourself 5)

Watch out for Dead Men walking being re –released with new chapters and a new title. ‘Cut to the Chase 0.5’ and also the Audio version of Cut to the Chase.

Next year 'Cut to the Chase 2' coming out probably being called ‘Cut to the Chase a Quicker look’.

"We don’t know what we are doing" by Adrian Chiles

I heard Adrian (sounds like I know him) speaking live on 5 live about his new book. It sounded very good so I went and bought it that day and I have not been disappointed. This book is really well written.

Adrian Chiles is the presenter of BBC2 business show ‘Working Lunch’ and “Match of the Day 2”. This book is incredible. It has had me laughing out loud and breaking down crying both which happened whilst sat in the doctor’s surgery. Chiles is a West Bromwich Albion football fan and this book takes you through the highs and many lows of supporting such a team. But more importantly it gives you such insight to the personal lives of the many people that Chiles has got to know that he has sat beside in the stands or on the coach. Even if you are not into football this will help you understand and empathise why people get addicted to this sport and following their team. This is a huge challenge to any follower of Jesus when you read the commitment of these fans.
