People - My Week

Jan

Monday Get up at 6.30 am, feed cat and dog, empty dishwasher and washing machine, make lunch to take to school.  7.30 am walk to school, set up classroom ready for the day.  I loveJan Mondays because the first lesson is CLIL which is a topic lesson taught in French with my lovely friend Claire.  Home for tea around 6pm and then off to choir (Hallam Choral Society).

Tuesday The beginning of the day is just like Monday and though the lessons will be different, the layout of my day is the same.  I sometimes help with the Cross Country club after school (encouragement value only!)  Tuesday evenings are usually taken up with planning and preparation for the rest of the week and some work on my dissertation for the Masters level work I’m hoping to complete this year.  When girls’ cell (girls?  We kid ourselves!) is on Tuesday I try to get to those and swap Masters work to Wednesday.  This particular Tuesday was the year 6 show 

Wednesday I’m supposed to only work alternate Wednesdays but our team meetings are on Wednesday afternoons so I try to get in for those on the days I don’t work. On this particular Wednesday we went to Manchester to see our daughter graduate with a BA(Hons) in Theology – yay!

Thursday For about half the year I work on Thursday mornings, but in the summer they are free!  I meet my friend Sarah for a dog walk in the morning and my sister Heather for a dog walk in the afternoon!  Very lovely.  At the moment I’m spending Thursday afternoons, where possible, working with the lovely Vics on a Stories from the Street Project doing creative writing.

Friday Usually the week’s shopping and housework, more dog walks, and occasionally coffee or lunch out with Wes.  This Friday contains a long dog walk with my friend Jennifer, the school meal out to mark the end of term followed by a trip to see Harry Potter – last film – on the day of its public release.

Saturday More dog walks!  School preparation, house work, and we’re off to see a folk duet in the evening with my sister and her husband

Sunday You get the picture – more dog walks!  Paper to read, Eccles
