We would like to say hi and hope you enjoy browsing our site.
We began the Eccles in 1996 with ten other people in our lounge. The reason for this is we wanted to create a place which was not religious and anyone could come and feel accepted whether they believed in God or not. Our aim then and still today is to assist people to:
* Build a relationship with God
* Build relationships with each
other
* Build relationships with their
community
Today we have approximately 90 members and are still determined not to be religious and to be welcoming to anyone who would like to join us as we continue on the journey of discovering more about and experiencing the love of Jesus individually and corporately. One of the main emphasise of the Eccles has always been, and will continue to be, to keep kicking people back out into the real world and not get caught up in meetings but get involved in their different communities whatever they are. If people have a desire to get involved in a certain work we will not reinvent the wheel if there is already a work going on in the city. We will encourage them to contact the people who head this work and begin to serve there in whatever way they can.
